Bergdorf Goodman and Fendi partner to crowdsource luxury handbags; campaign features integrated, holistic approach to social media.
Last week, Bergdorf Goodman launched a Facebook contest to crowdsource the design of the next Fendi 2Bag. The Facebook campaign is supported by complimentary Facebook apps on the BagSnob.com and Fendi.com Facebook fan pages (we love how they integrated the same app to multiple Facebook fan pages). Coupled with online ad buys, information on 5th at 58th and in-store QR codes, the campaign features a balanced blend of social media, online advertising and good old fashioned email marketing that is becoming characteristic of Bergdorf’s social media team.
Now that the handbags have been designed, users who log on to Berdgorf Goodman’s Facebook Fan Page can vote on the Fendi bag they want to see produced.
- Voting continues through Friday, April 29 (3 pm EST). Encourage your friends to vote too!
- Fendi’s design team will choose the winning color combination from the 5 top-voted.
- The winner will receive a Fendi 2Bag in the chosen color combination.
- In addition, Fendi will produce a limited-edition collection of the winning bag which will be available exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman and bergdorfgoodman.com.
